There are many types of bags in the corporate gift market – to suit most budgets and requirements, with more being offered that are sustainable (either made from recycled or organic material and/or recyclable at end of life).
Bags are very popular with customers for obvious reasons – the print area is normally large, can be branded on both sides and the product itself has a clear, everyday use.

Type
Choose a type of bag to suit your intended use and budget – from, JUTE BAGS, COTTON SHOPPERS, CANVAS BAGS, NYLON DRAWSTRING BAGS, PAPER BAGS, RECYCLABLE PLASTIC BAGS, NON-WOVEN BAGS.
Not all types of bag are suitable for branding the same – for instance, we’ve found that big blocks of colour don’t work with jute bags, so a bag with a mix of canvas to the front and back (for branding) and coloured jute sides (see the Kongoni images above) offers a great solution.
Size
Most bags are reusable so when choosing your bag, think about how you want your customer to use it – where they will show off your brand: at an exhibition (make it the best looking bag there so they walk round with your bag on the outside, as many exhibitors give out bags), at the shops, to take the kids swimming or merely to put their lunch in.
Print area
Both bags and umbrellas give great exposure to a customer’s brand and message, as the print area is very big (in comparison to many other corporate gifts). So, consider how best to use that area to communicate your message and if it would be better to brand on two sides rather than one, or all over the bag.
Weight
Cotton shoppers are the types of bags that differ a lot between the different weights. Many suppliers offer cotton shoppers and the most common size is 380 x 420mm with no gusset and long handles but weights vary from 3oz, to 10 or even 12oz more canvas options. We’ve found that 3oz aren’t suitable for most customers and most choose a 4oz or 5oz weight.
Colour
Bags are available in lots of different colourways, but the standard 5oz cotton shopper and the heavier 10oz canvas bags offer the best choice. We source from a variety of suppliers to get a wide choice of coloured cotton shopper in order to suit most customer colour requirements. Ask Micky what the nearest colour to your logo is.
